Marketing Manager - (Project Manager, Marketing Management) | Prudential Financial | Roseland, NJ

This new position in Prudential's growing Association/Affinity group is responsible for developing, managing and coordinating high-level marketing strategy and projects for a variety of association and affinity clients, as well as establishing and/or improving internal processes and interaction with internal business units.

Working closely with clients (both existing and prospective), their agencies, outside vendors and Prudential internal partners, the successful candidate will be involved in a wide variety of projects, including:
  • Developing marketing proposals and calendars
  • Expanding our marketing efforts into new areas such as search word, email and web banner advertising, Web 2.0 technologies such as podcasting, blogging and social networking
  • Researching and reporting on industry issues including industry and competitive analysis, compliance with regards to new media, ecommerce
  • Self-promotion via trade journals, Prudential's own website, press releases and search engine optimization/advertising
  • Acting as a liaison with internal units on initiatives including technological capabilities, sharing of information and resources, trafficking compliance and contract filings, developing risk assessment and privacy agreements
  • Coordinating marketing/operations efforts with external business partners
  • Developing, maintaining and disseminating client/plan information
  • Preparing marketing briefs and more.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail are essential, as is the ability to track multiple projects at once.
  • Exceptional client relationship skills and the ability to maintain a professional, friendly demeanor under tight deadline pressure are required.
  • The successful candidate will be both an enthusiastic team player with colleagues and internal partners and a strong advocate for the client.
  • Candidates should have a minimum of 5-10 years experience in an agency or corporate marketing area, with emphasis on marketing strategy and project management.
  • Proficiency in standard office applications is a must; expertise in Excel, PowerPoint and project management software is a plus.
  • Some travel will be required for client reports, prospective client presentations and industry conferences.
