Position Summary
Seeks and incubates new product growth opportunities in the DSC & DSLR
product categories. Works to deliver product growth solutions &
recommendations to various DSC & DSLR markets based on identified
opportunities, market trends, and customer insights with regards to
product design, features, and capabilities.
Common Essential Duties & Resp.
Product Development
Responsible for all new product growth opportunities in the Digital
Still Camera (DSC) & Digital Single Lense Reflex (DSLR) product
categories, specifically:
- Market Study and Understanding
- Product Opportunity Identification and Selection
- New Product Development with headquarters
- New Product Launch
- Long term planning, 6 months.
Product Marketing
- Manage DSC & DSLR Business overall Net profit Amount
- Manage DSC & DSLR Business overall Net Sales Amount
- Market planning and implementation of strategic product positioning
and branding
- Bad Inventory rate
- Market Sensing
- Improve API for DSC & DSLR business
- Improve M/S for DSC & DSLR business
- Industry and pricing trend analysis, competitive marketing and
advertising analysis,
- Sales/marketing promotions, dealer presentations, sales calls, press
Necessary Skills / Attributes
- 7 or more years of experience in the DSC industry
- Demonstrated capabilities in business planning and management
required. (MBA preferred)
- Aptitude for technical subjects essential. Must be able to understand
and apply technical concepts/solutions to business requirements.
Experience in DSC necessary preferred.
- Project Management skills essential. Must be able to plan and execute
long-term, varied-function projects and meet specified timelines and
budgets.
- Sales/Account Management capabilities. Must be able to manage and
foster relationships with customers/vendors. Must be able to
Multi-tasking
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Must be proficient on the computer. Word processing, spreadsheet and
presentation software knowledge is essential.
